We don’t want to kill your summer vibe, but the brand new Dior ‘Mystic Metallics’ collection – a radiant blend of metallic textures and mysterious shades – couldn’t predict the upcoming Autumn season any more beautifully. Daria Strokous stars in the new campaign and video photographed by one of the most iconic fashion photographers of all times, Steven Meisel. ‘The beauty range is inspired by Monsieur Dior’s belief in omens and superstitions ranging from his first meeting with fortune-tellers at the age of fourteen.’ The ‘Mystic Metallics’ collection includes a nail varnish set, eyeshadow palette, DiorShow Fusion Mono mousse and blush in rosy shades, which all were made for a wonderfully striking look. Considering the variety of colour-ways and tones, there’s something here for everyone;  foiled look for the daring ones and dancing queens, and muted tones for enchanting your everyday look.

The American brand, Michael Kors has released a video starring the beautiful Estonian model Karmen Pedaru, titled ‘Sporty Sexy Glam’, featuring a new beauty range that includes a body care collection, make-up, self-tanning products, and fragrances. The designer told WWD about his inspiration behind the perfumes: “I think those three things-sexy, sporty and glam-have always been the DNA of Michael Kors, and in a strange way, the Michael Kors woman really is all three of those things. It’s just that she feels more strongly about one of them at certain given times” – Kors explained. Whether you embrace the attitude of sporty, sexy or glamorous you will be able to find both the matching scent and colour in the shades of soft neutrals, sexy reds and playfully shiny pinks. The fragrances, which also keep the ‘Sporty Sexy Glam’ theme will embody an orange and mandarin scent for the sporty, whereas both glam and sexy will be consisting of natural woody scents with a hint of fruity infusions. Being obsessed with the Japanese beauty –  who’s also the current face of Stella McCartney’s fall campaign – Chiharu Okunugi, graces the pages of Vogue China’s August issue for a beauty feature. Besides the beauty editorial, a short film titled ‘Homage’ was made in which Okunugi plays the massive fitness lady role as doing sweaty training for an upcoming match, juxtaposed with rather classical musical selection. In another scene, Okunugi lies seductively on the bed, wearing a creamy silk nightgown, with a fan blowing her hair and ice cooling down her skin. In the photo shoot the model sparkled in elegant looks ranging from sporty to ultra-feminine styles while personifying the idea of true beauty.

Ever since I’m living in a Nordic country, I was amazed by women’s skin here…Despite all the age issues, their skin stays beautiful, and by that I mean naturally fresh and healthy looking. It has probably much to do with the positive attitude that rules here, but also lifestyle habits and the quality skincare products they are using. Anyway, some swears for sleeping, some swears for make-up. And here comes the ever-perfect Chanel that besides its clothing line leads the beauty segment too. Their latest beauty campaign titled, Where Beauty Begins is starring the new Chanel Cosmetics’ face, the 37-year-old still too-gorgeous-to-believe Diane Kruger. The actress and style icon exudes ease and self-confidence in the short film showing her everyday things such as walking the streets, chilling in a cafe or posing on the beach – all done in a perfectly finished skin. The movie well suggests the idea of earning beauty needs care, so ladies, do a favour to yourself and keep on mind that the less you stress, the more you sleep and the healthier you live the longer you will manage to keep your skin fresh and young!

Seit ich in einem nördlichem Land lebe, war ich fasziniert von der Haut der Frauen hier…Trotz der Probleme mit dem Alter, bleibt deren Haut immer schön und damit meine ich natürlich frisch und gesund aussehend. Wahrscheinlich hat es viel mit der positiven Einstellung, die hier herrscht, zu tun, aber auch die Gewohnheiten im Lebensstil und die Qualität der Hautpflegeprodukte, die sie benutzen. While checking out the latest Jil Sander menswear collection from Milan Fashion Week – in which Jil chose to use colour and did it with real precision and charm – started to wonder what and who is today’s male idol, what makes a man/boy charming in the real world versus on the catwalk. From the woman point of view I would say a man is to be man if you know what I mean; masculine, tidy yet slightly stubbly, stylish but not overly dandy. That’s our husband/boyfriend/lover-to-be; but what about the new generation of literally beautiful boys? Hazel eyes, freckles here and there, curly tresses and slender proportions suggesting a bit of untouchability…being a blank beauty so to say is rather in today. But beside the new wave of male models; in fashion, sometimes the reminiscence faces of the old ‘in’ (which was more man-like) walks in and still attracts – it often takes the form of nostalgia but that’s a drag. I guess there is no conclusion of this post nor an answer, it’s a challenge for us to accept, understand and catch up with the latest male in-s; but if you ask me David Gandy is my eternal idol. What do you ladies say?

Revlon has just announced it’s collaboration with Marchesa, best known for its over-the-top red carpet gowns, on three beauty collections that will include nail polish, lip and eye products, 3D nail art, and beauty tools. Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig behind the Marchesa brand are tend to reflect some aristocratic eighteenth-century romanticism on each collection, in terms of prints, embellishment and volume, which will continue in the form of – as stated on Vogue earlier – a 3D Jewel Appliqué nail art collection that will feature eight different patterns inspired by Marchesa couture gowns. This collaboration aims through Revlon’s incredible global reach, that they will be able to bring a little piece of Marchesa to women around the world. The first Revlon by Marchesa nail art collection will launch in the UK in September, and it will not be any less impressive than the gowns themselves, so stay tuned!

No make-up is the new make-up. Well, it’s not entirely true, but one thing is sure: the season prefers healthy, laid-back make-up over the smokey eyes and perfectly masked faces. This summer’s Baywatch-sexy must-haves include bronze toners, brush for the messy eyebrows, waterproof mascara and colourful nails and lipsticks. To be able to avoid liquid make-up you will need to have your daily beauty sleep, lots of water, fresh fruits and veggies, and some D-vitamin from the sun. As for the hairstyle, it is no question that voluminous yet wearable looks should have the major presence; loose knots or messy wind-blown braids are not only comfortable but are also suggesting the perfect too-cool-to-care and the lets-rock-the-beach looks. All in all ladies, go nude! There’s no better time to let your natural beauty shine through than the lively summer months. With the aid of a little concealer, tinted moisturiser and glow on the cheekbones to achieve your desired finish, you’re ready to go. PS don’t forget the sunnies!

Mit der Hilfe von etwas Concealer, getönter Feuchtigkeitscreme und einem Schimmer auf den Wangenknochen, um das gewünschte Finish zu erzielen, seid ihr schon fertig. PS: Vergesst nicht die Sonnenbrille!
