Set to hit stores on the 14th of November, the eagerly anticipated capsule collection by Isabel Marant for H&M sees the French designer unveil her debut menswear alongside women’s and kid’s – bringing together her Parisian chic versus laid-back references available for the public. Excitingly for male fans of the brand, Marant has also created her very first full men’s collection as part of the collaboration, featuring heavy knits, biker-inspired leather pants, embroidered jeans and outerwear by balancing a fine line between the male and female collection. Those of you who are also following us on Facebook might have seen the teaser we posted about the Camille Over the Rainbow x Pimkie collaboration the other day. The French-British Camille Charrière is much more than a blogger for us; rather a proper style-icon she could be called, who’s stylishness I’ve been following ever since. She is though a fashion writer at Net-a-Porter, while mastering a delicate taste by matching the off-duty Parisian chic with an edgy Londoner’s charm that’s a bit boyish, yet most of all very unique. Her collaboration with French brand Pimkie resulted a limited capsule collection that carries a hint of the high-streets’ scent in terms of dusty pink accents, textured neoprenes, oversized tomboy coats and so on. The collection – just like her style embraces effortless and laid-back styles with a slight grungy edge mixing monochromes with peachy pastels. The pieces are now available in all Pimkie stores and online as well! Happy shopping ladies!

Minju Kim collection – Models: Anais Pouliot & Marikka Juhler (All images: H&M)
Since we have previously featured the H&M Design Award, now it’s time to announce the winner in the person of talented Minju Kim, who has developed pieces from her collection with H&M to be sold at selected H&M stores this autumn, including Germany, UK or Denmark etc., as well as online. Minju, a 27 year-old graduate from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, was selected by a jury of international fashion experts for her collection, which transformed characters into outfits. The collection combines playfulness, fantasy and constant optimism, while merging a great deal of creativity with strong technical skills. Minju’s pieces for H&M bring the fantasy world of Manga to life with unique cuts and clever fabric combinations and yet applying bright colours on textured heavy knits in voluminous silhouettes. Minju is originally a designer from South Korea, who won the H&M Design Award 2013 with her collection titled ‘Dear My Friend’, inspired by Japanese Manga cartoonist Junji Ito, and received a €50,000 prize, a show at the Mercedes-Benz Stockholm Fashion Week in January 2013 and the chance to develop pieces from her collection with H&M. Avant-garde seems to be having a persistent Renaissance. I am not really sure if it is the constant pursuit of people to create something new or because radicalism has a new allegory. When it comes to fashion avant-garde indeed has a reference with exactly 20 letters: Maison Martin Margiela. Although the designer has Belgian roots the couture house is French. And not only French but also one of the leading designers from the fashion metropolis Paris, arguably influencing what is happening in this fashion universe. (more…)

Yet again a much awaited collaboration is on its way thank to our beloved creative duo, designer Stella McCartney and actress slash bestselling cookbook author slash curator Gwyneth Paltrow, who have teamed up to create a capsule collection for Paltrow’s lifestyle website, Goop. Featuring investment pieces designed by McCartney and curated by herself – as we just got to know it thank to Vogue – the collection will definitely be rejoiced by both the press and customers. There are rumours about the selection, which will feature ‘classic McCartney pieces including a black blazer, black jeans and black wool trousers, as well as several exclusive handbags – and will sit on the Goop Collection part of the company’s website, which offers products exclusive to Goop readers.’ If we follow Goop’s image, the collection must be just as practical as feminine by incorporating the knowledge of expert contributors and tastemakers and delivering an uncompromising style, and let’s be honest the latter will undoubtedly happen thank to the one and only Stella McCartney.

The supermodel held an intimate lunch the day before yesterday at The Ivy – as stated on Vogue, where she summed up her inspiration “I was inspired by all the things I love. It was very much about the texture and the detail – a star, a stud, some leather.” The collection that drew inspiration from the model’s own wardrobe, reflects a luxurious grunge edge thank to the range of crocodile leathers, sharp yet classy silhouettes and sophisticatedly studded details. The Kate Moss Accessories collection for Carphone Warehouse launches in selected stores and online at carphonewarehouse.com from July 24. Nowadays, kids and adults both admire sort of super heroes, having imagined that just for a day we can rule the world and do something big and be a saviour just like the heroes of cartoons and movies. There are many kinds of super heroes exist today and undoubtedly Karl Lagerfeld really is everyone’s fashion super hero. The cartoon version of the designer and his beloved pet cat Choupette return in the capsule collection tokidoki x KARL LAGERFELD, which features three figurines and apparel all-over printed with the playful caricatures. The creator of tokidoki, Italian artist Simone Legno, has worked in close collaboration with Karl Lagerfeld to create playful cartoon-like illustrations of the internationally-renowned designer. The caricatures have been printed on ready-to-wear apparel including t-shirts, skinny jeans and accessories including a clutch, scarves and iPhone cover.
